Welcome to the Curiosity Carnival. An exploration into the fun and messy behind-the-scenes of being a STEM teacher in San Francisco.
Maker Swag
Industry day was an amazing opportunity for our students. After hours of planning, we were able to bring all 50 middle school students. We prepped by watching highlight videos from past Faires and got acquainted with the map, and the photo scavenger hunt. Students were able to interact with all the Makers, and truly explore this blending of old technology and new technology.

For some of these girls, the Maker Faire was a way to realize that technology is not limited to computers, and math can be beautiful.
Sometimes, part of the fun is to collect cool swag from sponsors. - bags, buttons, and even safety goggles.
The best swag is the ones you get to make yourself.
Art is also interactive.
Community engagement is important.
There is something for everyone.
Makers are eager to share their creations.
Curiosity leads to questions, leads to life-long learning.
