Roller Coaster Competition - OHDS 2015
It was a long-standing tradition that 8th graders got to build marble roller coasters. In 2014 & 2015 we made it an authentic experience by entering our roller coasters into the annual Physics and Math Day at Great America California. Student's learned about roller coaster design, physics of friction, calculating acceleration and speed, and materials management. A true blending of science, math, engineering, and artistic skills.
