How handsome are these critters? On Friday, a special delivery arrived and the population of the science lab just jumped. The 5th graders are studying life cycles and the animal kingdom. This will help them better understand the human body’s growth and development. Today they will start creating scientific illustrations, documentation of behavioral observations, and measurements of physical attributes - to monitor these caterpillars as they grow into Painted Lady Butterflies. In about a week they will start pupating, and start the magical metamorphosis into butterflies.
